❛ TOUGH DAY, huh ?❛ he doesn’t need to taunt her vocally any more than that. most of his amusement showed in the tone of his voice in general. it was difficult not to overhear something that caused so much hostility , especially considering he was somewhat apart of their social circle now. even before, gustavo always had a knack for figuring things out on his own. some would have called it stalking, eavesdropping. but he appreciated his own observance and ability to pick up on specific detail .
‘ — YEAH, you must be getting a real kick out of everything. inspiration for your comic, right? ’ is all she manages, tone has a heavy bite ( making it all too obvious that she’s not in the mood for his taunting ) as she looks up from the inside of her locker where gaze has been burning a hole for the past few minutes ;god forbid she looked anywhere else where everyone’s distrustful stares still settled heavy on her. of all the people she might have owed an explanation to, gustavo acosta sure as hell wasn’t one of them. fingers tap the side of her locker door anxiously, nausea twisting in her stomach as she slams the door shut & stands.
‘ look, now’s really not a good time, so whatever you have to say — just save it,‘ she exhales sharply, focuses her attention on him as her eyebrows raise, frustration lighting her features, has been that way all morning. she pauses, is quick to follow up. ’ wait — why are you so casual about all of this? no one else will even look at me, so what gives?’
