I BROUGHT PIPER to lakewood it's when you look in the mirror and see him in your OWN REFLECTION that you know ; brandon james wasn't a monster. BUT WHAT ARE YOU?
#GIRLRUIN ind. & private audrey jensen. written by ASHLEY.
❝ ––––– for what it’s worth , i don’t blame you . ❞ even sincerity finds a fractured tone , searching betwixt audrey’s hues , as if to laden spoken words with ever - more truth .
‘ thanks, ’ the hint of a smile pulls the corner of her lips upwards (just barely but it’s there ), the space between them on the over-sized bed only adds to the silence. brooke probably wants to know ( and audrey wouldn’t be able to blame her for it ) – but she’s not going to be the one to bring it up unless she’s asked. the day had already royally sucked more than enough for one twenty-four hour period.
‘ and HEY, it’s worth more than you know, considering that no one would actually blame you if you did — ’ the tone, quiet and casual, behind her words is there // but the weight of the truth behind her words brings her to pause. she clears her throats, rubs hands over her jeans before trying again. ’SO, not that i’m complaining, but what was the invite? — what’s up with the hotel, anyway? seriously, do you own this place?’ she wouldn’t be surprised but natural curiosity got the better of her — and this conversation damn well beat the alternative.
